Description

Non Venomous Scalation Head covered with small and smooth scales. Dorsal scales keeled, in 53-67 rows. Ventrals are narrower than the body. Subcaudals undivided. Morphology It is a short, robust, uniformly thick and cylindrical snake that grows up to 138cm. but usually found in 60-80cm range. Newly born individuals are about 22-25cm. Its whole body in adults is patternless brown, dark chocolate brown and blackish while in juveniles it is reddish-brown with black bands on the posterior side. Its head is small and not broader than the neck. Its tail is short, not much thinner than the body and ends with a rounded end.
